Motel Bianco is a motel located on 52nd street and Biscayne Boulevard on MiMo Boulevard in Miami Florida. Previously a simple motel, the owners had the foresight to invest in renovating the property even though all of the other motels in the area were quite run down. After interviewing hotel staff, Hotel Internet Help suggested that Motel Bianco used the term “Boutique Motel” to describe themselves. We re-wrote their entire website’s content, took professional photos, and worked with our partners ICE Portal to create a 360 degree Virtual Tour of the property. Furthermore we visited local restaurants and a gym to develop relationships on behalf of the hotel so that we could offer a more complete view to online customers about what their stay at Motel Bianco would be like. We then helped analyze the hotel’s pricing strategy. HIH helped the hotel separate the rooms and create attractive names so that we could price the hotels according to customer demand. The results were clear. Within 2 months of launching Motel Biano’s new website, we were able to triple their direct online sales, and today their own website is their most important sales channel. With their old website they were not even ranking in the top 20 pages of Google for the term Miami Motels. Now they are consistently on the first page of Google’s natural results for the keyword Miami Motels. Furthermore, the volume that Motel Bianco has been able to achieve through their new website, marketing strategies and OTA relationships has produced a record breaking summer season for the property.
Calabash Cove is a luxury resort on the Northern Coast of St. Lucia in the Caribbean. The hotel has a large following of repeat customers and has done a fantastic job of generating a buzz for the property using PR. But they were using their Property Management System’s booking engine on their website and were not generating online bookings through their website. Hotel Internet Help created a private label booking engine for the hotel that was designed to look exactly like the hotel’s website so that customers did not feel that they were booking with a third party. We created a layout for the room descriptions and photos that truly did the property justice. Furthermore, out of all of our clients, Calabash Cove has done the best job of taking advantage of our supplements tool, and has driven a large amout of incremental revenue to the property by cross-selling additional services and activities to their customers.
The Alexander Hotel is a boutique hotel located on the tiny island of Cayman Brac, which is part of The Cayman Islands. As you might imagine, when customers think of going to The Cayman Islands, most think about Grand Cayman, and don’t even realize that other islands exist. The Alexander faced the challenge of being the only upscale boutique property on the sister islands of The Cayman Islands. We visited the island and met with the owners. Since the island itself was not doing a great job of promoting itself, our recommendation was to build a hotel website that would also become a primary source of information for the destination itself. We also developed a marketing strategy to not only capture travelers who were planning to visit Cayman Brac, but the Cayman Islands in general. Today, the new website that HIH built for The Alexander Hotel is highly ranked in Google searches for general Cayman Islands keywords and we have successfully shown a dramatic increase in online bookings for the hotel.
