We also created a special landing page for the local market which had access to different rates for this particular event. When Palace Resorts invited Shakira to perform at Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort, they wanted an attractive and powerful booking engine to encourage people to book online. Many of our clients use this feature to provide different rates to different geographic markets. It is also a clever way to capture more direct business without being tied down by unfair rate parity rules.
Our extranet is extremely easy and simple to use. You can quickly modify rates and inventory, as well as restrictions such as close to arrival, close to departure or minimum length of stay. There is also a simple Bulk Update option in case you want to make changes over a longer period of time. You can also easily create and modify promotion codes, and you have full control over creating and modifying the additional services and products that you sell through the booking engine once the customer has chosen their room. Our extranet is fully compatible with EZYield.com, Channel Direct, RateTiger and Channel Plus channel management systems.

One of the key strengths of the HIH hotel booking engine is the automated supplement sales tool. Hotels can easily create and adjust supplements directly in the extranet and they are presented to the customer in a way that follows the look and feel of the hotel. Our clients have seen tremendous success growing ancillary revenues through the online sales of supplements. You can even restrict supplements to certain rates and landing pages. In the case of the Memorial Day Fusion Festival at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, customers had the option of purchasing their tickets to the concert event together with their room reservation. Other customers booking the Hard Rock were not presented with this option. In the example to the right, Calabash Cove, which is a high end resort in St. Lucia they have successfully sold additional products and services in the hotel, but also products and services offered by third parties where the hotel earns a commission on every sale. From dinner on the beach to helicopter transfers from the airport, Calabash Cove offers a wide variety of services to their customers who book online.
Hotels can also easily control photos and room descriptions that appear in the booking engine, as well as create promotion or discount codes that can be used at check out which offer a percentage discount, a fixed amount discount, or even added values. These tools offer tremendous flexibility. You can easily set up promotion codes that only work when used for particular room types or on stays within certain date ranges or minimum lengths of stay.
